The consequence of this shocking result is having to hire replacements costing you performance and money.

Naturally a better alternative is to invest in professional training for first-time managers. This could mean reduced availability of these managers.

A Way Forward

The KeyBiz Project-Based New Manager Development features on the job learning from the current live issues a manager and their team are encountering. This means that problems that inevitably are costing performance and money are resolved whilst the manager learns how to tackle issues and crucially begins to build a better relationship with their team. The team, by the way, will also be introduced to a new approach to looking at the way the work is done and engaged in its improvement.

What is Involved

The KeyBiz Coach will be available to work with the manager and their team over a 90-day period. How many projects will be worked on in that period depends on the complexity of the work.

These days I am mainly looking to help New Managers with their development using the challenges that they encounter. The sad fact is a joint CMI/YouGov study has shown that 82% of new managers receive no training. My coaching and training helps new managers learn by doing whilst producing better outcomes.
